We started Muse because great matcha was harder to find than it should be.
We're Takahiro and Jennifer. Takahiro grew up in Japan immersed in tea culture. Jennifer came to matcha through studying Japanese art and design. Together, we built Muse Matcha to answer a simple question: why should Kyoto-quality matcha be so hard to find everywhere else?
We source directly from multigenerational farming families in Kyoto and Kagoshima prefecture. Our tea comes from the same farms that supply Japan's top matcha cafés and heritage brands. Direct sourcing keeps the supply chain transparent and every batch fresh.
We care about flavor, color, texture, and real-world usability. Every product we carry is something we use ourselves. Whatever you're making, we hold a high bar for it.
